Ladies and gentlemen, we are excited to introduce you to our monthly cupcake class! The best way to spend the last Thursday of every month.

For those of you who are unaware, our cupcake class is taken by Liggy or Claire, from Liggy’s cakes. For £20 you receive a 2 hour tutorial, 4 cupcakes a couple of glasses of fizz and all the icing and glitter you could ever ask for!

Liggy or Claire will talk you through and demonstrate 4 different designs of cupcake decorations, she will also give you some handy cup cake tips and hints and is a fountain of cake knowledge. So ask her as many weird and wonderful questions you can think of.

September sees the start of Scotland Food and Drink Fortnight which is hosted by the not-for-profit organisation Scotland Food and Drink which was established in 2007. The mission of Scotland Food and Drink is to promote growth in the industry and build Scotland’s reputation as a global high quality food producer.

In co-ordination with the Fortnight Foodies at Holyrood will be playing host to its very own ‘Taste of Scotland’ evening on Friday 3rd September whereby customers will be invited to sample some of the delights that Scotland has to offer. We will be showcasing the finest in Scottish produce throughout the evening with generous samples for all to try. These include the very best in Scottish smoked salmon, cheeses, chutneys and more! Tickets cost £5 and can be paid for in advance or on the door. All tickets paid for in advance will be eligible for 10% off a FoodieBox bought on the evening.

BrewDog and Foodies have teamed up to run a Beer tasting event!

This brew-tastic event will take place on Thursday 8th July from 7pm until 9pm in Foodies at Holyrood. Each customer will have the opportunity to sample a selection of BrewDogs Eclectic beers.

We will be trying out delights such as Trashy Blonde, 5am Saint, Punk IPA, Paradox and the much publicised Tokyo Beer... Guests will get an introduction to each beer and the art of beer tasting as well as sampling some foodie treats. All in all a great fun informative evening. Tickets for the event are priced at £12.50.

Foodies at Holyrood invites you to Carrie On...

To celebrate the release of sex and the city 2 Foodies at Holyrood is holding a special cupcake and boutique night shopping event in its Edinburgh Cafe on Thursday 27th May from 7pm until 9pm

Come along and enjoy one of Liggy’s famous cupcakes and a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival before browsing our special Sex adn the city inspired pop- up boutique.

The cafe will be playing host to a sophisticated range of ‘pop-up’ shops including vintage and customised clothing by Sew Vintage, Sparklyn hand –crafted jewellery and beautiful handmade soaps from Sweet Peacock. Foodies would also like to invite their guests the opportunity to take part in beauty demonstrations , have a mini makeover or pamper session courtesy of Angels organic health salon.

Foodies at Holyrood’s range of hampers ‘FoodieBoxes’ will be on sales including the Foodies Cupcake Boxes which are packed full of all the essentials to bake and decorate cakes to impress ‘the girls’ on those glamorous nights in.

A selection of sophisticated cocktails will also be available from the bar throughout the evening from £5.

For those of you who are unaware of our cup cake class is taken by Liggy herself, who owns and runs Liggy’s cakes. For £17.50 you receive a 2 hour tutorial with Liggy, 4 cup cakes a glass of fizz and all the icing and glitter you could ever ask for! Liggy will talk you through and demonstrate 4 different designs of cup cake decorations, she will also give you some handy cup cake tips and hints and is a fountain of cake knowledge. Foodies at Holyrood are pleased to welcome all food-enthusiasts to an evening of art, wine and Scottish cheeses to mark the close of the North Berwick artists exhibition which is currently on display within the café.

The team at Foodie is passionate about locally sourced food and it is our job to scour Scotland for the best. On this evening, enjoy wines and cheeses from our favorite suppliers whilst browsing the range of art (all of which will be available to purchase on the evening).
